New owner Katy Stephens is excited to be continuing the ethos of supporting local talent and carefully curating a fabulous range of gift and design ware. Formerly a registered nurse, Katy is a strong believer in the power of a well thought-out gift or card, and is excited to be able to put her passion into practice at The General Store.

A range of beautiful New Zealand designed and created products await you in this petite store, conveniently located in between favourite local destinations Ballantynes and Riverside Market. The General Store proudly supports New Zealand brands Lyttelton Lights, Moreton Jewellery greenstone, Anoint Skincare, Antler New Zealand, Katy B Jewellery, Bloke & Co, Crystal Ashley, Michelle Bow Ceramics and Colourful Daydream artworks, among many more.

Carefully selected international brands are also available at The General Store, creating a well-rounded gift shopping experience. Räder Ceramics, Jellycat, Schott Zwiesel glassware and Tiger Tree jewellery are some of the store favourites.
